The People Behind Alderney Week
A dedicated team of islanders who come together each year to plan, organise and deliver the Channel Islands' most-loved community festivals.

Vicky Chandler
Team Leader
Vicky is a familiar face to many in Alderney, having been involved in several local charities over the years. Whether raising funds or getting stuck into events like Alderney's Stars in Their Eyes, she brings warmth and energy to everything she does. Vicky is proud to be part of a close-knit family, with two children and two grandchildren keeping life full of joy and laughter.

Wayne Chandler

Wayne has lived in Alderney for many years and brings both technical skill and community spirit to the team. A qualified plumbing and heating engineer, he's also known for his time as a crew member of the Alderney Lifeboat station. In 2002, Wayne was awarded a framed letter of thanks from the RNLI for his role in a rescue operation at Fort Clonque — a moment he's still proud of today. Outside of work, he's a dedicated family man with two children, Dean and Abbie and two grandchildren, Elsie-Mae and Bear.
